Hi everyone, over the weekend we went to Kansas City Sea Life Aquarium. It was their second time going but this time they were looking forward to seeing the small and large sea creatures they learned about over the month. When you first walk in you see a really cool tank with a school of fish.
Are next stop was to the touch tank. The girls were able to touch sea stars, urchins, horseshoe crabs, which was exciting.
As we continued our journey through the aquarium we saw large and small sting rays, sharks, eels, big and small fish.
I did a small scavenger hunt and had the girls look for more sea creatures that we learned about and they found the octopus, sea turtle, jelly fish and sea horses. The sea turtle is a rescued turtle. It was found in a fishing net which cut the circulation off to its front flipper,so it to had its flipper amputated.
There is also a Octonauts exhibit for the kids to explore in and fish tanks for the kids go into. If you ever visit Kansas City, Mo stop in at Kansas City Sea Life. I hope you enjoyed this post.
