Hello everyone, Thursday with Mother Goose Time the girls learned and talked about nest. Then looked at pictures of nest. They also remembered seeing a row of Swallow Nest under a bridge during a charity walk.

Webs and Holes
6/23-24/2015
Hey everyone, this week with Mother Goose Time the girls learned about webs. During arts and crafts the girls “Weave a Web” with the provided materials  and they really  enjoyed this project. The girls also looked at pictures of  spider webs which generated good questions like; ” What are webs made of?” What’s the biggest spider web?” ” Why do spiders sit in the middle of the web?”
On Wednesday, the girls learned about holes. We discussed how rabbits, prairie dogs,moles, and meerkats all live in holes. Then they created a bunny headband with the provided materials.
Later on the girls played a game called “Counting Holes.” They draw a card and count the holes on it then hop around the room looking for the matching card.
Caring for Pets, Outdoor Chores and Welcoming Guest
6/17-19/2015
On Wednesday with Mother Goose Time we discussed how we care for our cat and fish and how we would like to add a dog to our family. My oldest favorite pet is a cat and my youngest favorite pet are fish. Then the girls drew pictures of the animals in the “I Love My Pets” book. After that the girls “Build A Bird”
Cleaning-Up and Laundry

Hello everyone, on Monday with Mother Goose Time we talked about cleaning up.
Bathroom and Bedroom
Hello everyone, on Thursday  with Mother Goose Time we talked about the bathroom. We went over their morning and evening bathroom routines. Then put together various patterns with the bathroom  pattern cards.
After awhile we popped bubbles which was a lot of fun. Then we went to the bathroom and discussed the importance of washing hands and went over the hand washing steps from the chart.
On Friday, we talked about the bedroom. We talked about how it’s not safe to jump off the bed because they can get really hurt. Then read 5 Little Monkeys Jumping On The Bed Rhyme and did the actions with the provided materials.
We also talked about what they keep on their beds and those thing are their favorite stuffed animals. Â Later on we played “Stacking Pillow.” The girls would roll the die and stack the pillows to the number it landed on and jump over the stack. They really enjoyed this game and had lots of fun.
Doors and Windows, Living Room
Hi everyone, on Monday with  Mother Goose Time we talked about doors and windows. They created a paper bag house with the provided supply then played “Lost Keys.” The girls hid and pressed the keys in the play-doh. They really enjoyed making key prints.
After awhile they played the game “Guess What Door.” The girls picked a door and I would give them three clues of what was behind the door.
On Tuesday we talked about the living room and they played “Cozy Chairs.” They cut out the sequence cards and put them in order. I asked both of the girls where is their favorite cozy spot in the house my youngest said the couch and my oldest said her bed.
Houseboat and Castle
6/4-5/2015  Mother Goose Time   
Hi everyone, on Thursday we discussed houseboats. The girls learned that these types of homes float in the water and they both thought that was cool. They looked at pictures of different style houseboats. Then the girls created a house with the shape manipulatives.
Friday, the girls learned about castles. They were excited to know there are queens, kings, princess, and princes that live in them. Then we looked at pictures of different castles. Â During arts and crafts the girls made castle crowns, they really had fun gluing the gems on. I also showed them pictures of crowns. Later on they put together a really cool dragon.
House, Apartment, and RV’s and Hotels
June 1-3, 2015Â Mother Goose Time
Hi everyone, So this month topic is “The Alphabet House” and the girls were excited to start and learn about different types of housing. On Monday the girls  learned about Houses. They looked at the houses in the neighborhood and the girls  notice there are houses in different colors  and sizes. Then the girls painted a house.
On Tuesday, the girls learned about apartments.  The girls looked at different styles of apartments that generated  questions, such as ‘How many rooms are in apartments?,” What’s the tallest apartment building?,” “What’s inside an apartment?” They also enjoyed creating an apartment building with the blocks.
Wednesday, they learned about RV’s and hotels. We looked at  different RV models  and  3 different types of hotels. Later on the girls did a RV night puzzle and worked on adding,writing the letter C, and color by number.
