Water

Hi everyone,  on Wednesday with Mother Goose Time we discussed water and its importance. First activity the girls did was “Safari Postcard.”

The next activity was “How Many in the Water?

Later on the girls did “Measuring the Water,” the girls had 5oz cups and it took 9 cups to fill the Royals, 7 cups to fill the Chiefs and 5 cups to fill the small glass.

Questions from Mother Goose Time/Daily Routines

How does a typical day with Mother Goose Time look for you?

A typical day runs smooth, I also have infants in my home daycare  so the routine can get  thrown off at times.

How often do you take breaks?

We take 4 to 5 breaks.

Which of the outdoor or free play suggestions from the planning journal do you see during these breaks?

Play with water and cups.

How has a daily routine helped your child’s behavior and/or attitude towards learning?

A daily routine give a child guidance and helps them learn a positive and responsible behavior towards learning.

Elephant

Hi everyone, on Tuesday with Mother Goose Time, the girls learned about Elephants. First they read “Can it Fit.”

The next activity was “Digging Tusk.” My youngest dug a hole in the ground poured water in it and watched the water  slowly seep in the ground.

Later on the girls did “Feed the Animals.”

The last activity was “E is for Elephant.” We talked about how elephants hold the tails of bigger elephants.

Passport

Hey everyone, on Monday with Mother Goose Time, we started Going on Safari and day one was Passport.  First the girls wrote their names on the name tags.

Then they did “Passport Stamp,” the girls made passports with the provided MGT materials.

Later on the girls played “Roll Africa.” They tossed the pompom onto the continent and measured the distance.

Then the girl played tossing and catching the ball.
