Hello everyone, so last week we ended Bugs and Crawly Things and our butterflies hatched from their chrysalis. Here are some pics below from what we’ve done over the last 3 weeks. Next month we start “Alphabet Island.”

The Butterfly House
Hi everyone, during the time of Bees and Butterflies, I bought a Live Butterfly Garden from Amazon so the children could see the stages of the butterfly. Â I also bought a book ” National Geographic kids Caterpillar to Butterfly.” Here are some pictures of the caterpillar changing into a butterfly.
 
 The caterpillars are in J formation transforming into chrysalis.
The children are watching the butterflies come out of their chrysalis.

I can say this was an awesome experience and a good learning experience for everyone.
Babies
Hello everyone, on Tuesday with Mother Goose Time, the girls learned about baby bees.
First they made Queen Bee headbands with the provided MGT materials.
 
Then they “Counted Bee Eggs” using bingo chips and the counting card.
Later on the girls did the “Bee Hunt.”
 
For this curriculum I got the Insect Lore Live Butterfly Garden with caterpillars so the girls and other children can see the stages the caterpillar goes through before turning into a beautiful butterfly.
