Hi everyone, on Tuesday with Mother Goose Time, the girls learned about Elephants. First they read “Can it Fit.”
 
The next activity was “Digging Tusk.” My youngest dug a hole in the ground poured water in it and watched the water  slowly seep in the ground.
 
Later on the girls did “Feed the Animals.”
 
The last activity was “E is for Elephant.” We talked about how elephants hold the tails of bigger elephants.
 
Hi everyone, on Wednesday with Mother Goose Time  the girls learned about “Game Reserve.”  The first activity girls did was “Entry Fee.”
 
Then had the girls read “Giraffes Can’t Dance” provided by MGT.
Later on the girls did “Animal Classify and Sort”
 
Their last activity “Hiding Animals”
 
Hey everyone, on Monday with Mother Goose Time, we started Going on Safari and day one was Passport. Â First the girls wrote their names on the name tags.
Then they did “Passport Stamp,” the girls made passports with the provided MGT materials.
 
Later on the girls played “Roll Africa.” They tossed the pompom onto the continent and measured the distance.
 
Then the girl played tossing and catching the ball.
 
Hey everyone, on Tuesday with Mother Goose Time  we talked about winter nights.  The first activity the girls did was “Bedtime Stories” with the concept cards.
 
Then the girls did “Night Sight.”
 
Later on they worked on the “Winter Solstice.” The girls put the strips in order from shortest to longest.
 
The last activity was “Snowy Night” and instead of making the snow, I scooped up some snow from outside for them to play in.

Hello everyone, on Monday with Mother Goose Time we talked about “Winter Days,” and that was perfect timing since we had our first winter storm for the season today.
The first activity the girls did was decorate their “Winter Postcards.”
Then the girls played “Winter Bingo”
Later on they played “Shorter Days.”
After that the girls dressed up to play in the snow.
 
On Wednesday with Mother Goose Time the girls learned about the “stars.” First they made a “Star Wand” with the provided MGT materials.
 
 
Counting Stars
Then the sang “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.”
After that the girls put the stars into groups and hopped and twirled over the stars.
 
Hi everyone, on Friday with Mother Goose Time  we talked about the Mouse and the places they live and hide.
So the first activity the girls did was “Adding Mice.” The girls flipped over an equation and placed the mice on the cheese.
 
 
Then the girls read “Rat-a-Tat-Tat”
 
Later on they played “Cat and Mouse Game” and used a blanket as a mouse house.
 
 
Hi everyone, on Tuesday with Mother Goose Time we discussed cookies. We talked about different types of cookies and their favorite cookies are Chocolate Chip cookies and Vanilla Birthday Oreo cookies. Then the  girls did “Cookie Plate  Art” with the provided MGT materials.
 
 
The next activity the girls did was “Cookie Shapes”
 
Later on they did “Cookie Jar.” I set out strips of paper for them to create a V and X.
 
Patterns, Sorting and Sequencing.
What MGT project or activity did you do that encouraged your child to build patterns, sorting or matching skills?
Describe how your child entered the activity, engaged, dealt with a challenge and extended or adapted the activity.
The MGT activity that encouraged my children to build patterns was the cookie shapes. They looked at the pattern on the plate, then picked out the shapes and put them the pattern was in. The girls were also talking about how different their patterns were.
Hello everyone, Friday with Mother Goose Time  we talked about bells  and how the sound a large and small bells sound different.
The first girls made a “Bell Shaker” with the provided  MGT materials.
 
 
The they did another really fun activity called “Water Bells”
  
Later on the girls played “Counting Bells.” They rolled the die and group the bells into the number the die landed on.
 
 
Hi everyone, on Monday with Mother Goose Time we discussed the piano.  First the girls played a piano matching game.
 
Then the girls played “Octave Jumping.”
 
After awhile I read “The Mississippi Musician.” Then I asked the girls to name the characters and their instruments.
