Hi everyone on Thursday with Mother Goose Time we talked about what makes us mad. First we read the story “Sad, Mad, or Glad?”

Then we played the “Sight Word Slap” I put the site words on the table for the girls to slap and say the word out loud.

After awhile the girls played “Where’s the Bus.” We discussed  how they would feel if they missed the bus and they both said “sad.” I selected three cups and hid a bus under one cup. Then the girls lift a cup to see if the bus is under it.

Hey everyone, on Wednesday with Mother Goose Time, we talked about sad, reviewed the color blue and what makes us sad. Then the girls created a mirror with the provided MGT materials and made all kinds of emotion faces in the mirror.

Then the girls played “Feelings Shapes”game. We sorted out the Tangrams. Placed the emotion cards in the bag. Then draw a  card from the bag and trace the shape. They enjoyed this game because they related the emotions, shapes and colors to “Inside Out”movie.

You Are Special and Getting To Know You

Hi everyone, on Thursday with Mother Goose Time we talked about  why they are special. Then made “I am a Special tree” with the provided MGT materials.

Then the girls did “Special Faces. ” We talked about what they like best about their faces and mad faces in the mirror and compared them to the emotion picture on the poster.

Friday we talked about what animals can and cannot be our friends and why. Then we made “F is for Fox” the girls really had fun creating it.

Then we headed outside to do “Watch and Learn.” They kicked  and toss the ball around.

Later on the girls played a game of “Elephant and Friends.”

Saying Hello and Learning Wall Update

Hello everyone, so this week with Mother Goose Time we started Friends and Feelings. I also updated the learning wall with the materials provided by Mother Goose Time.  Monday we started with “Saying Hello.” We talked about how we greet our friends when we see them by say “Hi” or “Hello.” Then created “Friend Puppet” with the provided MGT materials.

After making our “Puppet Friends” the girls did the “Name Dance.”

Later on the girls played “Bus Stop Colors.” We also talked about places we meet our friends. Then they played with the bus counters.

The Empty Pot

On Friday with Mother Goose Time we listened to the “Empty Pot” and discussed what helps flowers grow. The girls reply was “water, sun, and air.”

Then we did “Stamping Art” with the provided MGT materials and they really enjoyed painting with the different objects.

After awhile the girls did “Design a Flower” they want to do this one together. Then played “Would you Rather” game. Next week we start “Friends and Feelings” so stay tune and have a good weekend.

The Black Snake and the Eggs and Stone Soup

Hello everyone, on Tuesday with Mother Goose Time was “The Black Snake and The Eggs.” We talked about why Stealing is wrong then listened to the story and created “Snake Necklace” with the provided materials.

After awhile the girls did “Adding Eggs.” We used the circle and oval manipulatives for this number concept exercise.

On Thursday we talked about “Stone Soup” and my youngest really had fun with this one. First she cut out the pieces. Then she listened to the story and added the story pieces in the pot as the items were being named.

After awhile she headed off to the playroom to make “Block Soup” and used tongs to take out the blocks. My daughter isn’t into soups so we didn’t make the “Stone Soup” recipe from the card, however, she really had fun making it with the  pretend food.

The Birth of Paul Bunyan and Paul Bunyan and the Flapjacks

Hi everyone, Monday with Mother Goose Time the girls learned about “The Birth of Paul Bunyan.” we talked about how I took care of them when they were babies. Then I set out baby toys for them to explore. After the girls explored the toys, I read “The Birth of Paul Bunyan” story and as I read the story they would get the item from the story.

After awhile the girls made a growth chart with the provided MGT materials. I measured them and they measured their My Little Pony’s.

Wednesday story was “Paul Bunyan and the Flapjacks” and the girls loved this story because they love pancakes. We talked about how their dad and I prepare their food for them. I read the story and as I introduce a story item they would pull it to the side.

Then the girls made “Breakfast Pan” with the provided MGT materials. The girls took their breakfast pans to the dramatic play area and pretended to cook their breakfast.

After awhile they pretended the shapes were pancakes and used a spatula to move the shape to a plate.

The Milkmaid and Her Pail

Hey everyone, on Friday with Mother Goose Time I read the “Milkmaid and Her Pail.” As I read the story the girls would put the introduce story piece into the bucket. They really enjoyed interacting with the story.

The girls played “Roll and Color.” They rolled the die and used the number/color key and colored the baby chick. Then the girls did “Egg Patterns.”

After awhile the girls did the “Balance Bowl.” The girls really had fun doing this activity.
