H is for Hippopotamus

Hello everyone, on Friday with Mother Goose Time we talked about the hippopotamus. The first activity we did was

“H is for Hippo.” The girls read MGT, I Can Read “Animals A-Zoo book.”

Then the girls played “Hippo Safety.” I set up an obstacle course so the girls can understand how hippos can run fast for a short distance before slowing down.

Later on the girls played “Hippo Moves” game.

Then built shelters for the animals.

D is For Dolphin

Hi everyone, on Monday with Mother Goose Time  we talked about the letter D. The first activity the children did was “Dolphin Food.” I filled a tube with water and put in the provided letter tiles. Then the children scooped them up with Spoons.

The next activity “Swimming Dolphin.” The girls used their hula hoops as swimming pools and pretended to be dolphins playing with toys.

Later on the girls played “Dolphin Toys” a shape matching game.

Then colored  “D is for Dolphin. ”

Alligator

Hello everyone, today we started a new theme called A to Zoo Animals with Mother Goose Time. So today we did A is for Alligator and the first activity we started with “Alligator Toes.” The kids made alligators with play-doh and used golf tees for legs or to create texture on their alligators.

The next activity the children did was “A to Zoo Alphabet.” We used letter tiles and the book “A to Z Animals” provided by MGT. I layed the tiles on the floor and turned them over, then had the kids pick letter and find the letter and animal in the book.

Later on the girls made “Alligator Puppets” with the provided MGT material.

Bath Time

Hi everyone, on Wednesday with Mother Goose Time, we talked about bath time and what we need to take a bath.

So the first activity the girls did  was “Harry the Dirty Dog.” We talked about how dogs get dirty, then created Harry with the provided MGT material.

The next activity the girls did was read “Rub a Dub Dub” and underline the sight words.

Later on they did “Boats in Bubbles.” The girls made soapy water and added the boat counters. Then used a spoon to scoop up the boats and sorted the boats by color.

Fishing

Hello everyone, on Monday with Mother Goose Time, we talked about fishing. The first activity was reading “Caught a Fish Alive.”

Then she played a math game called “Big Fish, Little Fish.” The fish are numbered 1-10 and each fish is a different size, small, medium,  and large.

Later on she did “Fish on a Line.”

The last activity was “Wait and Catch.” A letter recognition game.

River

Hi everyone, last Monday we started Bubbles, Boats & Floats with Mother Goose Time. The girls learned about the river and what lives in around it such as otters, beavers, fish, and bears.

The first activity the girls started with was “River Names.”

Then they did a “River Collage” with the provided Mother Goose Time materials.

Later on the girls played “River Food” game.

The Butterfly House

Hi everyone, during the time of Bees and Butterflies, I bought a Live Butterfly Garden from Amazon so the children could see the stages of the butterfly.  I also bought a book ” National Geographic kids Caterpillar to Butterfly.” Here are some pictures of the caterpillar changing into a butterfly.

I can say this was an awesome experience and a good learning experience for everyone.

Eggs

Hi everyone, on Monday with Mother Goose Time, the girls learned about eggs. The first activity the girls did was “Eggs on a Leaf” with the provided MGT materials.

Then the girls played a game called “Would you Rather.”

After awhile they wrote a “Egg Story.”

Babies

Hello everyone, on Tuesday with Mother Goose Time, the girls learned about baby bees.

First they made Queen Bee headbands with the provided MGT materials.

Then they “Counted Bee Eggs” using bingo chips and the counting card.

Later on the girls did the “Bee Hunt.”

For this curriculum I got the Insect Lore Live Butterfly Garden with caterpillars so the girls and other children can see the stages the caterpillar goes through before turning into a beautiful butterfly.
