Our Trip To The Farm

Hi everyone, so last weekend we went to Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead. This is one of our favorite places to go in the spring and summer because the girls get to interact with the animals.  So the first thing the girls like to is check out the chicken coup then head to the barn to see the new baby farm animals. On the way to the barn we saw tad poles in the pond.

Dramatic Play-Produce

017

Hello everyone, this week I turned dramatic play into a little market. I displayed the fruits and vegetables for the girls. Then we went outside and grabbed some leaves to use for money.

018  020  019

The girls really enjoyed this change in dramatic play. Things they enjoyed about The Little Market was exchanging leaves for fruits and vegetables to fill up the grocery cart and taking turns being the storekeeper.

During arts and crafts the girls made “My Little Garden.” They cut  out vegetables and fruit shapes and added pictures of produce from the paper.

At the end of the day the girls played the game “Rabbit Relay.” They scattered the produce cards on the table and pretended the rabbits were invading the garden.
